Spinning Sofia Vergara, Sarah Silverman's liquid pot and more Emmy burning questions answered
Tue Aug 26, 2014
I'll admit spinning Sofia kept me around for the president's speech. Usually the president speech during the Oscars and Emmys is my time to use the bathroom or get something from the kitchen, because it's boring. Usually all that interests me about it is that the In Memoriam is coming so …
Stupid things employers ask job candidates
Thu Mar 20, 2014
I agree that interviews can be a detriment to socially awkward people such as myself. I do try to make up for it with my naturally friendly conversations, but if you're really nervous, even if you know you're well qualified for the job, it hurts you so badly. I also have an issue with evaluati …
Scared of Santa: The ho-ho-horror continues
Mon Dec 23, 2013
I was scared of Santa for years, probably because you couldn't really see a face behind that big beard. The Easter Bunny never creeped me out, though. It took me years to finally stop crying at Santa. Poor mom.
No, I'm not the nanny: When you don't look like your kids
Thu Jun 28, 2012
I look nothing like my mother except for my eye color, and I look nothing like my half-siblings (we all share the same father), but I'm the only one who looks basically like a female version of my dad.
Forget parent error: Car designs make seats hard to install
Thu Apr 12, 2012
I know if I have kids one day, I plan to have more than one carrier. I'll keep the carrier in the car, and have a second one in the trunk, that way I won't have to remove it until it's time for the booster seat.
Princess Neslisah Osmanoglu, oldest in Ottoman dynasty, dies at age 91 in Turkey
Wed Apr 4, 2012
What makes it interesting is that this lady was living history (at least it's interesting to me). She was born into a dynasty for an empire that died out nearly a century ago. It's like losing the last Titanic survivor a few years ago, or the last World War I soldiers. When they go, history goes.
When animals age: Poignant photo portraits captured
Wed Mar 7, 2012
The thought of aging doesn't bother me, I've embraced it. I'm 33, and I have no worries about getting older. It's probably because I've mostly grown up around loving older people. What does worry me is the inevitable day that my parents will become feeble and have to be taken care of.
What was Whitney Houston's best song?
Sat Feb 11, 2012
To me, her defining song will always be "I Will Always Love You".
Harry Potter's headache finally diagnosed
Mon Feb 6, 2012
This makes sense. When I was 16, I accidentally hit my head walking into a pillar. I was walking with my head turned the other way looking for someone, and when I turned my head back around it hit the pillar. I didn't lose consciousness, but I had a welt on my head for a day or so.
Radcliffe: I'm drunk in some 'Harry Potter' scenes
Fri Feb 3, 2012
I will admit that sometimes I just read the stories to read the funny comments people make. This and the guy falling into the radioactive water were guarenteed funny bone ticklers. :D
